Saloni Sharma
My name is Saloni Sharma, I am 16 years old. I have been drawing and making art for as long as I can remember. A lot of my artwork reflects the stages of life and of me as a young artist, wanting to immerse myself deeply into the art world. For me, creating art is a way of escaping from all the stress and expectations that come with being a teenager in this fast-paced world. It provides an outlet for me to be able to express myself, and use it as a coping mechanism, in the times when I am deprived of the circumstances that promote peace of mind. I mainly create oil paintings, and my art style consists of a mixture of both surrealism and abstract works. My goal in creating art is to communicate the need for greater awareness of concerns such as the effects of climate change and the need for nature conservation. Also, I’d like my art to be an instrument for projecting peace and have my work stimulate the desire in others to create a positive difference in the world.
