Jacob Spies, Teaching Artist, Technical

Originally a professional musician from Birmingham Alabama, Jacob has been with ArtSeed since 2014 working with students from 3 years old to 93 years old. In May of 2019, he graduated from the Academy of Art University with a BFA in Arts Education. Previously he worked with a marketing firm, ARB Sales, demonstrating products made by Golden Artist Colors. Jacob is a professional custom picture framer through Aaron Brothers and National Picture Framing Centers but reserves a good portion of time to practice his art, exhibit his work, and teach. His expertise includes drawing, painting, printmaking, book arts, digital arts, and sculpture, informed by his exposure to Art History.
