Michelle Vignes was a distinguished documentary photographer, French-born, but whose later years were spent in San Francisco. Intimately connected with ArtSeed and its founder, Josefa Vaughan, Michelle provided this organization with a substantial beginning of our long-term goal of growing ArtSeed’s Legacy Society to sustain our future projects. Michelle and her extraordinary gift are celebrated with the dedication of our online gallery. For more information about ArtSeed planned giving opportunities email Josefa@artseed.org or call/text: 415-656-9849.

Featured ArtSeed Intern & Summer Intensive Presenter Sam Kuang,
Hunters Point Shipyard Studio Resident Artist, Fall 2020

Sam Kuang: My vision for ArtSeed is to inspire kids to make art. While at ArtSeed, I’ve learned how to use Constant Contact and WordPress. I create ArtSeed’s all email blasts and update the homepage. Thank you to Michelle Vignes for the opportunity to be ArtSeed’s current Shipyard studio resident. It has been a goal of mine to one day get a quiet space dedicated to making art. At 16 years old, I didn’t think that I would get this opportunity so soon.”
