Ongoing ArtSeed Public Art Programs and Events:

ArtSeed’s Labyrinth Studio Drop-in on Sundays, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., all day on school holidays, to make things or just observe others creatively engaged at ArtSeed’s new Labyrinth Studios.  Find out about affiliate artist studio space and scholarships for teachers, after school or weekend classes for all ages, and year-long apprenticeships.

ArtSeed’s Earth Day Art-a-thon, Saturday, April 21, 2018 (date to be confirmed), 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Make art for (yourself or) ArtSeed’s year-end exhibition. Artists of all ages and levels of experience come together in a 10-hour art-and-music-making marathon to benefit ArtSeed’s neediest students! Works for sale will also be displayed at Open Studios.

Spring Open Studios, Saturday and Sunday (dates to be announced), 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. ArtSeed Open Studios presents selected work from our educational programs to be on display alongside art by practicing artists.

ArtSeed’s Fine Arts Summer Intensive, Weekdays, June 18 to 29, 2018 (date to be confirmed), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for highly motivated youth. Students will have one to two full weeks of fun and learning in the arts in this individual portfolio and collaborative project-building workshop, with five or more professional teaching artists, distinguished guest presenters and adult volunteers culminating in an exhibition. Students 10 -18 years, (or younger participants after an interview) may apply. Call 415-656- 9849 for information about special fees and scholarships.

ArtSeed’s Year-End Exhibition, and Annual Theme, Mailing Home: A Call for Unity in the Public Sector and a Great Big Hug to Estranged Families and New Friends! 
Opening Reception: Thursday, September 6, 2018 (date to be confirmed), 5 to 7 p.m.
Closing Reception: Saturday, October 6, 2018 (date to be confirmed), 3 to 5 p.m.
Artists, veterans, children, and disabled adults work with artists to engender trust with mail art distributed far and wide. Easy reply storyboards will have encouraged continued dialog among participants who make it their business to resolve conflicts. A final exhibition of original art will also include interactive components and online documentation of international exchanges.
