18th Annual Earth Week
Art-a-thon
April 18, 2026 (12 – 6 PM)
Kick off the programming season with our six-hour artmaking marathon! For the 18th year in a row, we’re coming together to fundraise for fine arts mentorships that empower youth, veterans, and disabled folks. Dive into different creative mediums while enjoying live music, free food, and drinks on the house! Practicing artists will be demonstrating their craft and hosting workshops, including those featured in our current exhibitions, Heidi Hardin and Tanya Joyce.

ArtSeed’s first two shows of the year feature Tanya Joyce’s Outdoors in Illinois and California and Heidi Hardin’s Earth is Home. Humans Are Family. If you’d like to hear the stories behind their works and learn from the creators themselves, mark your calendar! They’ll be present at our Art-a-thon on April 18, in addition to the Closing Reception on May 15.

Hunters Point Shipyard

Twice a year, ArtSeed participates in Open Studios at the historic Hunters Point Shipyard alongside more than 140 different artists. Want to be featured in our studio? Participate in our Art-a-thon on April 18 for a chance to be showcased!

Youth Summer Camp (Ages 8–18)
Fine Arts Summer Intensive
July 6 – 11, 2026
Our Fine Arts Summer Intensive is an immersive, mentorship-based program where motivated youngsters explore experimental and fine arts techniques. Students spend this fun-filled week learning from teaching artists in multiple disciplines, venturing out into our local arts scene on inspiring field trips, and refining their unique artistic voice. At the end of the week, students are invited to display their creations as part of our 20th Annual Open Call Exhibition.

Our biggest show of the year features work viewed through the lens of our 2026 theme: So What Now? Figments, Domains, and Advance Directives. This is the culmination of creative efforts made at Art-a-thon, weekly mentorships, the Fine Arts Summer Intensive, and more—so you won’t want to miss out! We encourage all members of our community and newcomers alike to submit their art for display!
